The first question you need to answer for yourself is: what are you going to use your electric violin amp for?
If you are going to just use it at home you may not even need an amp at all because the violin can be used without an amp for practice and most also come with an headphone output.
Even if you want to amplify it at home you can simply use a professional guitar effect like these:
These effects can simply be connected to your stereo and produce the best professional sound you can achieve with any other option! And you can even connect it to your PC or Mac with the USB connection.

If you are going to use your electric violin live we suggest one of these effects. These can also be connect to a PA system or any type of amp or stereo which you want to use live.
If you want an affordable amp you can use an electric guitar amp like these:
These work great, only the sound of an electric guitar amp makes the sound of the violin a little less natural sounding.
A better option would be an acoustic guitar amp or a keyboard amp
These are made to sound very "uncolored" so you violin will sound like a violin. But as you can see the prices are a little higher.
